Cabbage – a versatile ingredient
Leaf: Whole cabbage leaves are especially suitable for cabbage rolls. The leaves are cooked until soft so that they are easy to wrap around the filling.
Shredded cabbage: Coarsely shredded cabbage, which is suitable for cabbage rolls or soups, for example. Shredded cabbage retains its structure and adds a pleasant mouthfeel to the food.
Pulp: Finely shredded or grated cabbage, which can be used for vegetable patties, fillings or cabbage patties, for example. The pulp mixes well with other ingredients.
The products are sold in blocks of about 10 kg and frozen.

Oats
Our strength is also in pure Finnish raw materials, the origin of which we know and understand well.
In some of our products, gluten-free oat groats supplied by Keskisen Mylly in Vilppula have been used as a substitute for rice.
We use Finnish raw materials as a source of protein
The traditional version of our cabbage rolls usually contains 100% Finnish minced meat in addition to rice or oats. In our vegetable cabbage rolls, we use nutritious vegetables and plant proteins.
CABBAGE FOR US AND FOR OTHERS
In addition to our cabbage roll factory, we have a cabbage leaf factory that produces pre-cooked cabbage leaves and grated cabbage. We also make frozen cabbage for internal use in our cabbage roll factory and for other food business operators.
- Each cabbage leave weighs between 59 and 64g.
- Frozen cabbage leaves and pre-cooked grated cabbage are sold as 10kg blocks.
- One cabbage leave block contains about 150 leaves.
- Cabbage leaves and pre-cooked grated cabbage are usually sold as 560kg pallets. Each pallet contains 55 blocks.
- For smaller needs, we also sell cabbage in 30kg cardboard boxes containing three 10kg blocks.
